The Muslim Students Association (M.S.A) of the University of Southern California has complained of censorship following the removal of historical documents that call on Muslims to kill Jews, according to a blog on U.S. News & World Report. The documents that were removed are part of religious principles written by the prophet Mohammed.

The university provost said that "the passage cited is truly despicable.... We did some investigations and have ordered the passage to be removed." The M.S.A responded that it was "outraged at the censorship of a complete religious and classic text without consulting us or any religious authority first."

Among the verses that were removed from the M.S.A website are, "You will fight against the Jews and you will kill them until even a stone would say: Come here, Muslim, there is a Jew (hiding himself behind me). Kill him."
