DT, just wondering what the light green berets signify. It'd be of interest if you could write a post about the uniforms of the IDF so us poor foreigners wouldn't be so puzzled.
I love seeing those old school A1 uppers still earning their keep.
I understand the army being afraid of unintentional discharges, but I do wish they'd let 'em load their guns! It seems like every picture they've got an empty rifle.
The shower cap covering for the helmet is designed to breakup the soldiers profile. It's part of the IDF Camouflage regimen and is extremely effective.
I LOVE THEM ALL!

ReplyDeleteThe Different Beret colors are for the different IDF Units. Green is for the Nahal infantry Brigade.
ReplyDeleteWhats up with the I Give Up pic? Does it have something to do with the ring?

What is the shower cap like covering for the helmets? What is their purpose? I've seen these in various IDF infantry photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks DT!
