But, on that night in August 1929 Hebron turned into a city of Terrorism and murder as the Arab residents turned on their neighbors massacring the unarmed helpless Jewish community. By the time the Hebron Massacre had ended, 69 Jews lay dead - their homes and synagogues destroyed - and the survivors were forcibly​ relocated to Jerusalem.
