Jews had lived in the ancient city of Hebron for generations. But, on that night in August 1929 Hebron turned into a city of Terrorism and murder as the Arab residents turned on their neighbors massacring the unarmed helpless Jewish community. The British mandate police did nothing to protect the Jews allowing the Arabs free reign. By the time the Hebron Massacre had ended, 69 Jews lay dead - their homes and synagogues destroyed - and the survivors were forcibly relocated to Jerusalem. The aftermath left Hebron barren of Jews for the first time in hundreds of years until 1967 when Hebron was liberated from Jordan during the 6 day war. Never forgive. Never forget. Never again!!!
