Fab Defense KPOS Scout

I have posted here on my blog about the different KPOS versions several times over the past decade and I like all of the previous versions.

But I'm shocked at how impressed I am with FAB Defense's newest addition to the KPOS family, the KPOS Scout!

The KPOS Scout is a pistol-to-carbine conversion kit that gives your pistol incredible potential. The installation process is incredibly simple. Once I got the hang of it, it took me under 3 seconds!

The KPOS Scout is a hybrid of a polymer (lower, flash hider, and folding stock) coupled with a full length aluminum scope rail that allows plenty of room to mount an optic and a long sight radius when using flip up sights and is compatible with compensated Glocks.

Underneath, the KPOS Scout has a rail for flashlight, laser or a tactical grip and also has removable side rails, so you have lots of flexibility as to how you can accessorize it. There is a Quick Detachable Sling Swivel under the folding stock that allows for attaching a single point sling as well. And Just like the KPOS G2 it has an AR style ambidextrous Charging Handle.




In my experience, the KPOS makes my Glock easier to control, and extends it's effective range especially when shooting under stress.

I've fired all of the KPOS versions in full auto with a Glock 18 and was able to more accurately hit the targets than when shooting the same weapon without the KPOS.

Here are some stats so you can compare the KPOS G2 to the KPOS Scout

-The KPOS Gen 2 weighs 2.11 pounds.
-The KPOS Scout weighs 25% less at just 1.52 pounds.


-The G2 was 14.56 inches with the stock folded and 23.5 with the stock deployed.
-The KPOS Scout is just at 12.7 inches with the stock folded (the Glock 17 is 7.32 inches long) and 21.2 inches with the stock open (making it shorter than the mini UZI, SIG MPX, CZ Scorpion and the Micro RONI)

FAB Defense also plans to release a non NFA version (KPOS Slingshot) with a brace for those US customers that don't want to deal with registering a SBR.



The previous version, the KPOS G2 was available for several handguns including from Glock, CZ, FN, and SIG SAUER, Bull and others. So don't be surprised when FAB Defense releases more KPOS Scout versions for different handguns.



FAB Defense told me that they are also planning to release a holster for the KPOS Scout as well!
