Look Who's Boycotting Israel
Newly-appointed Palestinian Minister of Social Affairs Majida Al-Masri has ordered a ministry-wide boycott of Israeli products as her first decision in her new role.
The decision says Palestinian products must have the priority, but if a certain product is unavailable, priority goes to Arab countries, then foreign equivalent. Israeli products are to be boycotted altogether.
I hope they remember to follow the Boycott Israel Rules

Another Dry Bones Classic
What used to be middle of the road Zionism, such as the unity of Jerusalem and many of the themes in "Dry Bones" are now considered to be "right wing." The Author of Dry Bones himself recently wrote the following about a 30 year old post on Jerusalem.
Today Israel is officially celebrating Jerusalem Day! Back in 1973 this cartoon was a light joke that made folks chuckle. These days it reads like a fundamentalist manifesto.Did it make you laugh? ...or wince? ...or pound the table and shout "right on!"?
Gasp. Debunking Palestinian Myths? How radically right wing...
Keep up the great work Yaacov, we'll keep reading!

Israel is the place to live
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Israel is the place to live!
In a recent WHO report
The life expectancy for Israeli women is 82 years, while Israeli men live on average until the age of 79.
Israel is just behind Japan and ahead of the USA where on average women live to 81 and men 76.
Having had the privilege to meet the IDF's oldest ever serving General (Brigadier General David Laskov, founder of the IDF Yiftach Unit) when he was 86, I can say that Israel is a great place to live and grow old.
You can look up the average life expectancy for your country here.

IDF Weapon unmanned D9 Caterpillar bulldozer
تنسيق-الكليات-لعام سكس نيك كس
In the 1974 TV movie Killdozer, in which a bulldozer possessed by a demonic intelligence attempts to wipe out an isolated construction crew, it was just a fantasy.
Now it's a reality. The IDF Engineering Corps have developed the Black Thunder unmanned version of the existing D9 combat dozer.
The Black Thunder unmanned version is fitted with cameras and remote actuators, and can operated unmanned or with a driver. The IDF retrofitted the Black Thunder with armor - over 450 horsepower engine, a normal bulldozer blade at the front and a "ripper" delving tool at the back. The regular D9, from Caterpillar, is already gigantic. It weighs nearly 50 tons - with the IDF's upgrades, more than 60!
"The unmanned D9 performed remarkably during Operation Cast Lead, clearing roads of mines and explosive devices," said an unnamed IDF officer. "The unmanned version is important since if there is a concern that an area is loaded with mines it can save lives."
Major-general Avi Mizrachi (CO of the Ground Forces Command) is considering setting up an extra battalion of robodozer-equipped troops.

The Dangers of Facebook
Israel's internal intelligence service is warning Israelis to be careful when using Facebook, saying Arabs are trying to recruit spies through the social networking site.
The Shin Bet security agency is telling Israelis not to answer unsolicited messages or share telephone numbers and other sensitive information over the Internet.
It cites a number of recent incidents in which violent groups tried to recruit Israelis through Facebook and other sites. In one instance, it says a man who introduced himself as a Lebanese agent contacted an Israeli Facebook user and offered money for information about Israel.
More HereObama uh lays down the uh law
President Obama met with Prime Minister Netanyahu in their first meeting today.
Obama spoke of the "uh extraordinary relationship" between our two uh countries - the "stalwart" uh alliance, the "historical" and "uh emotional" ties between Israel and uh the US. Then he belittled Netanyahu, dictated his demands including US controll over building of new homes in Israel, and brought up the issue of a Palestinian state, completely ignoring history and the fact that Jordan is already a Palestinian State.
"I have great confidence in Prime Minister Netanyahu's political skills, but also [in] his historic vision," said Obama, patronizingly. And then, moving into full-blown teacher-to-pupil mode, he added: "I have great confidence that he is going to rise to the occasion."
"If there is a linkage between Iran and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process," Obama mused, "I personally believe it actually runs the other way. To the extent that we can make peace with the Palestinians - between the Palestinians and the Israelis - then I actually think it strengthens our hand in the international community in dealing with the potential Iranian threat."
He elaborated, "Imagine how much less mischief Hizbullah or Hamas could do if, in fact, we had moved a Palestinian-Israeli track in a direction that gave the Palestinian people hope. And if Hizbullah and Hamas [are] weakened, imagine how that impacts Iran's ability to make mischief and vice versa."
What? Like that makes any sense??? Comon Obama, read the teleprompter! Here's an alternative!
More here.
By the way, Iran's missile arsenal already has the range to reach New York and London.
