You know, I actually do have my grandma's 12-gauge pump shotgun. Makes me reluctant to fix it up, though it doesn't really have collector's value, but it does at least need to be re-blued and I'd like to refinish the stock. No picatinny rails, though, I think.
It has not escaped me that my big strong grandfather bought his tiny little wife (she can hide behind my shoulder standing up) a massive 12-gauge Ithaca "Deerslayer" model and she used it without complaint for years--but now he carries the same model in 20 gauge, and his son carries the same thing in 16. Only the giant grandson carries the 12 now, and I've been thinking it over carefully for the past few years. If it wasn't so damn accurate for a shotgun, I'd probably take my old 20-gauge out and use that.
Sorry for the ramble, but it triggered something in my head. And fully-automatic Uzis with standard-length barrels are illegal here anyway (in my home state of Illinois, not in the U.S.)
I lust after the Uzi Pro because I have a big pile of Glock mags.
