I get lots of emails from readers asking about AKs. in Israel Here in Israel we show respect for their creator, Mikhail Kalashnikov by calling them by his name, Kalashnikov.
The IDF has captured lots of AKs and uses them in the IDF Special forces.
For most of my readers the question is usually, "how can I upgrade my oldschool AK so it feels and shoots like a modern weapon?"
The NEW accessories that are available can really help take the AK's old school look and feel, and bring it into the 21st century.
With the recoil reduction buttstock
and all metal foregrip
the AK becomes an incredibly reliable modern weapon.
Add an ergo pistol grip, single or double point sling, foregrip, and your choice of flashlights, laser pointer, and optics you'll have a heavy caliber rifle with a completely modern look and feel.

Not so much a comment as a slightly off topic question. When I was in Israel, I bought an uzi bullet necklace that I wear till this very day. What is the symbolism and purpose of these uzi and M16 necklaces?
