A military story from a fan: Tag a friend that might know the source! I heard about this one collective punishment , before i joined the unit: the CO (or maybe it was the XO?), sent out the recon detachment (12 dudes, I think) and the brought back a bad report. They were all like "we can't move to the next position that HQ wants us to..." (2 of the dudes were all like "good to go!", "let's kick some ass", but everyone else was like "those dudes are too gung-ho, don't listen to them...") Well this got back to HQ, and The General had our unit (12 companies, plus some attached troops) kept us out in the field for a loooong time, with nothing but c-rations to eat. I read in the after action report (you should read it, too) that they were kept out in the bush for 40 years!
