Iran's Interior Minister accused "Mossad" of his country's drug smuggling
Iran's interior minister Saturday accused the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, of forcing drug smugglers to sell at a discounted price in the Islamic Republic.
Quoted by state television Mostafa Mohammad Najjar said "smuggling heroin and hashish in our country is included on the agenda of the spy agency in the Zionist regime." He added that the information obtained by Iran indicates that the Mossad was "drug smugglers sell at one fifth the price" in Iran, adding that those who refused faced threats.
Iran has a long term problem of the smuggling of drugs from its eastern neighbor Afghanistan, which is a source of ninety percent of global production of opium.
Drug trafficking, is a crime punishable by death in Iran. 67 people in Iran have been executed this year eighty percent of them after being convicted of smuggling drugs.
It was again reported today that Iranian nuclear scientists are being killed.
An Iranian nuclear scientist has been killed and another wounded in two separate but similar attacks in the capital, Tehran. The scientists were targeted by men on motorcycles who attached bombs to the windows of their cars as they drove to work, officials said. The scientist killed was Majid Shahriari, a member of the nuclear engineering faculty at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran.
"Mossad and the CIA are the enemies of Iranians and always seek to hurt this nation. They particularly want to stop our scientific progress," said Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, Iran's Interior Minister according to Iranian state television.
Iranian media reported in January, that nuclear scientist Masoud Ali Mohammadi, was assassinated in the same manner by counter-revolutionaries, Zionists and agents of the "global arrogance"

At the World Masters Weightlifting Championship in Poland, Israeli competitor, Sergio Britva, took first place in his class. Britva lifted an astonishing 300kg of weight, beating the second-placed competitor, the Iranian Hossein Khodadadi, by 4 kilos.
http://twitter.com/idfspokespersonDuring his visit to Lebanon, Nasrallah presented Ahmadinejad with this rifle. which is reported to be an Israeli assault rifle seized in 2006.
The rifle came with a row of bullets in a large dark red case, which was affixed with a Hizbullah emblem.

"This is almost certainly an FN Fal 7.62 rifle, which has not been used by the IDF since 1974," an IDF spokeswoman said. "We can therefore conclude that it was not taken from the Second Lebanon War," the spokeswoman added.

A massive fire is raging in the storage facility of Iran's Shahab-3 ballistic missiles. According to online sources, the site was top secret and housed most of the Shehab-3 missile launchers that Iran had stocked for striking US forces in Iraq and Israel in the event of war - some even set to deliver triple warheads.
More than 18 Revolutionary guards were killed and 14 others wounded in an explosion Tuesday at a base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards (IRG) Corps in the Western Iranian province of Lurestan, reported Iran's official news agency IRNA Wednesday.
A Deputy Commander of the Corps said that blast resulted from a fire that spread to a munitions depot at the corps's base in Khoramabad, 300 miles southwest of the capital, Tehran, and close to Iran's Kurdistan region.
The base houses underground launching and storage facilities for Iran's medium-range Shahab-3 ballistic missiles, said research group Global Security (From RTTNews).
The Shahab-3, has a range of about 1800-2500 km, and the reported accuracy of this missile is anywhere between 2000 meters to 30 meters (depending on the version). That is enough to precisely hit and destroy even a well protected target. According to some reports, these missiles even have steering nozzles on their re-entry vehicle which make them capable of evasive maneuvers disallowing interception.
The mysterious Stuxnet worm took center stage at the Virus Bulletin 2010 conference with a prominent security researcher dropping a raw hint that Israel may be behind the industrial-strength malware attack.
Ever since the discovery of the worm, which Microsoft says dates back to January 2009, there has been incessant speculation that Stuxnet is a nation-state attack against Iranian nuclear plants. There have even been online murmurings of biblical references and public confirmation that the Iran’s Buescher nuclear reactor was the main target.
Now comes this disclosure suggesting a direct link to Israel.
Symantec security researcher Liam O Murchu (photo above) says he found the “05091979″ date in the Stuxnet code, a possible link to the May 9, 1979 execution of Jewish Iranian businessman and philantropist Habib Elghanian.
And in the New York Times’ David Sanger and John Markoff report there is biblical text possibly linking Stuxnet to Israel:
Deep inside the computer worm that some specialists suspect is aimed at slowing Iran’s race for a nuclear weapon lies what could be a fleeting reference to the Book of Esther, the Old Testament tale in which the Jews pre-empt a Persian plot to destroy them. That's it??? A secret code!! Intentionally left in the software...
That use of the word “Myrtus” — which can be read as an allusion to Esther — to name a file inside the code is one of several murky clues that have emerged as computer experts try to trace the origin and purpose of the rogue Stuxnet program
In an editorial, the Washington Times calls on Israel to bomb Iran's Bushehr reactor on Friday.

"...It's doubtful America will take action. The State Department's response to the latest IAEA report on Iranian enrichment violations merely said, "We are hopeful that Iran will express a willingness to come to the table. We stand ready to have that dialogue." Not exactly the kind of rhetoric that instills fear of consequences.
Israel is the only country likely to mount a military strike, and the Bushehr site is an exposed facility that could be taken out with conventional weapons. It's located on Iran's west coast, less than a third of a mile from the shore; air forces would not have to spend much time overflying Iran to attack it. The plant also could be hit using sea-launched cruise missiles from Israeli submarines. With an effective range of at least 900 miles, the subs wouldn't have to transit the Strait of Hormuz to mount the attack. What do you think? Should Israel drop the bomb on Iran?
The strike needn't happen before Friday. Mr. Bolton set that deadline because he was concerned that destroying an operational plant would create a radiation hazard, but a strike that left the site radioactive would hinder Iranian attempts to get it back up and running. Civilian casualties would be minimal because the site is located nine miles downwind of the city of Bushehr, and potential fallout would drift over either the Gulf close to Iran or the immediate area, which is arid and sparsely populated.
The most dangerous fallout could be political. Russia, Iran's nuclear sponsor, is likely to voice strong objections; the usual anti-Israel suspects will howl; and the United States may not be as sturdy a champion for Israel as it was in the past. But the time has come to demonstrate resolve in face of an imminent threat from Iran. The Free World depends on Israeli power..."
IDF Naval Commandos intercepted the Iranian cargo ship, the "Francop", which was laden with roughly 500 tons of weapons hidden amongst civilian cargo. In Tehran, Syria's Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem dismissed Israeli allegations the ship carried arms. "Unfortunately, some pirates sometimes take action in the name of inspection and prevent the sailing of commercial ships," he was quoted as saying by the state IRNA news agency during a visit Wednesday. "This ship was carrying goods from Syria heading to Iran and was not carrying weapons making materials."
The 36 weapons containers were sent from Iran and were en-route to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon. This shipment contained enough weaponry to keep the Hezbollah terrorists supplied for a full month of fighting.
From the IDF Spokesman:
"After being boarded, the ship was then "requested" to make way to the Israeli Naval Port of Ashdod for a complete inspection and inventory of the illegal weapons cargo.
The naval commando force boarded the vessel and conducted an initial search. The search was conducted in accordance with the usual search protocols as dictated by International Law.
Following the initial search and after it became clear that the vessel was carrying weapons, the vessel was directed by the Israel Navy to dock at the Israeli Ashdod Naval base for additional searches and a detailed inspection of the hull’s cargo. It should be emphasized that the captain of the ship agreed to the search. The Israel Navy conducted all activity without any force.
The weapons found onboard the ship originate from Iran, and were intended for the Hezbollah terror organization, for use against the State of Israel and its citizens. The weapons uncovered at sea last night constitute a harsh violation of UN Security Council Resolutions 1747 and 1701 that strictly forbid Iran from exporting or trading any form of weapons."
"The overnight operation was authorized by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense of the State of Israel. Commander of the Israel Navy, Maj. Gen. Eliezer Marom, commanded the operation from a forward command cell. The IDF Chief of the General Staff authorized the operation, after the confirmation of intelligence information gathered by the IDF."
And of course the Iranians are as glib as ever:
