Obama Insults Jews With Premature Exaltation of Chanukka

Chanuka doesn't begin for another 11 days -- but last night, President Barack Hussein Obama decided to insult world Jewry with a Premature Exaltation of the holiday at the White House.

Looking back, Obama had no issues with Premature Exaltation of the Muslim Festival of Ramadan.  He was able to contain his ardor until August 1. 2011 when he polished his Arabic and pronounced, "Ramadan Kareem" to the Muslim world.

Obama's lack of respect for the Jews and his outright disdain for Israel have been apparent since the day he was elected.  Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East, is the only true friend that the United States has in the region.  Israel is on the frontline of the war between radical Islam and Western civilization.　 On the our border with Gaza, the Israeli people have been called upon to endure indiscriminate rocket attacks from Hamas with only a minimal response; they must contend with a belligerent Hezbollah and an unstable Syria in the north; in the east, Jordan is in turmoil and many wonder if King Abdullah can survive; and in the south, Saudi Arabia and Egypt continue to be major exporters of radical Islam.

Making matters worse, Israel's relations with Jordan and Egypt (the only two Arab countries to have signed peace treaties with Israel) are in serious doubt.　 Recently, Jordan's King Abdullah went so far as to say that "Israel has an expiration date." Following the Muslim Brotherhood's election victory in Egypt, Middle East experts openly predict that "Islamists may also seek to annul the 1979 Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty.

Israel has no real friends in the Middle East, and our enemies are growing stronger by the day. With help from Iran, Israel's enemies are preparing to deliver what they think will be a death blow to Israel. Repeatedly over the years, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has boldly asserted that Iran intends to "wipe Israel off the map." The day has finally arrived when the Iranians think they are ready to launch a coordinated attack, and only the political instability in Syria may have prevented an attack in September.

Now more than ever before Israel needs a friend in the White House, and Barack Hussein Obama is not that person.

According to Obama, Syria must have been repentant enough in the past few days in order to deserve a tight diplomatic hug in the form of a new US ambassador. The unemployed chinless ophthalmologist must have triple-pinky-swore that he'll be good this time. Hey, but you gotta give BHO credit, he realized that this move was so ludicrous that he did it while the US Congress was in recess (thereby removing the otherwise needed congressional approval for ambassadorship).

The US pulled the ambassador six years ago after Syria killed the Lebanese Premier Rafik Hariri. But that's not all. They are actively aiding Hezbollah in taking over Lebanon and waging war against Israel (smuggling weapons, missiles, and fighters). They imported terrorists into Iraq to kill US troops. They are actively rebuilding and updating their huge, horrible chemical weapon arsenal. They illicitly developed nuclear technology and built a nuclear reactor to make nuclear bombs. They have allied with Iran, North Korea and Venezuela. Syria is hiding Saddam Hussein's biological and chemical weapons (and Haaretz thinks that they've found where). Syria is a haven for internationally wanted murderous terrorists. Syria is funding terrorists. Syria is hiding radioactive material stolen from Yemen.

They are just bad guys.

But Assad said yesterday that the Arab world is “always peaceful”, Iran doesn't want nuclear weapons, and that the reason there is no peace in the Middle East is because of Israeli “occupation.” Riiight.

But Barack bought it, hook, line, and sinker. Or maybe he has an alternate agenda?

Obama uh lays down the uh law

President Obama met with Prime Minister Netanyahu in their first meeting today.

Obama spoke of the "uh extraordinary relationship" between our two uh countries - the "stalwart" uh alliance, the "historical" and "uh emotional" ties between Israel and uh the US. Then he belittled Netanyahu, dictated his demands including US controll over building of new homes in Israel, and brought up the issue of a Palestinian state, completely ignoring history and the fact that Jordan is already a Palestinian State.

"I have great confidence in Prime Minister Netanyahu's political skills, but also [in] his historic vision," said Obama, patronizingly. And then, moving into full-blown teacher-to-pupil mode, he added: "I have great confidence that he is going to rise to the occasion."

"If there is a linkage between Iran and the Israeli-Palestinian peace process," Obama mused, "I personally believe it actually runs the other way. To the extent that we can make peace with the Palestinians - between the Palestinians and the Israelis - then I actually think it strengthens our hand in the international community in dealing with the potential Iranian threat."

He elaborated, "Imagine how much less mischief Hizbullah or Hamas could do if, in fact, we had moved a Palestinian-Israeli track in a direction that gave the Palestinian people hope. And if Hizbullah and Hamas [are] weakened, imagine how that impacts Iran's ability to make mischief and vice versa."

What? Like that makes any sense??? Comon Obama, read the teleprompter!

Obama's Plan to Destroy Israel

The Obama Administration has broken down its plan to destroy Israel into two subsections, Israel itself, and American Jews. Obama's people have studied the problem and understand where Carter went wrong. Obama does not want to have the same image problems as Carter in the Jewish community.

In the US:
1.) Co-opt existing Jewish organizations and swing them to the left using old school 70's leftists.

2.) Create new "progressive" organizations to appeal to a younger generation of ethnically Jewish youth detached from any actual identity. Have these organizations generate attacks on the Israeli government and pro-Israel Jews, while creating phony polls indicating that most American Jews are behind them and Obama.

3.) Silence and intimidate remaining Jewish organizations and leaders behind the scenes.

In Israel:

1.) Financial - bring down the Netanyahu government coalition by destabilizing Israel economically. The Obama Administration has a wide variety of tactics at its disposal for doing so, from the overt, such as targeting Israeli exports and imports, to the covert, that would involve targeting the Shekel and targeting fundraising in the US so Jewish groups could be prevented from raising money in the US. All of these have been in play before at one time or another.

2.) On the military side, Obama's people will make their non-existent efforts to stop Iran's nukes conditional on more concessions to terrorists. Israel has already been locked out of the military technology pipeline for anything cutting edge which will leave the Israeli military dangerously vulnerable in the case of a war. This is an effective chokehold that has been used before to prevent Israel from attacking Saddam Hussein during the Gulf War, as well as preventing Israel from carrying out a preemptive strike against its enemies before the Yom Kippur War.

What Obama has in store for Israel

TEL AVIV — A classified assessment relayed to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Obama and his senior advisers would incrementally diminish U.S. strategic cooperation with Israel developed over the last 20 years.

"Obama wants to make friends with our worst enemies and until now the worst enemies of the United States," an Israeli source familiar with the intelligence assessment said.

"Under this policy, we are more than irrelevant. We have become an obstacle."

Israeli sources said the administration would reject Israel intelligence on such threats as Iran and Syria while advancing the Obama agenda to reconcile with the two states, both listed as state sponsor of terrorism by the U.S. State Dept.

On April 20, Israeli military intelligence commander Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin warned the Cabinet that Obama was prepared to allow Iran to retain its capability to assemble nuclear weapons and support Hamas and Hizbullah.

"Obama wants to advance the peace process in the direction of realistic discussions with extremist elements," Yadlin said.

The Israeli intelligence assessment envisioned that Obama would maintain his reconciliation policy with Iran and Syria through at least 2010. The sources said the assessment determined that Obama was convinced that such a policy would enable a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Obama will want to show Iran, Syria and radical Muslims that the United States could pressure Israel on a strategic level," the source said. "The pressure has already begun and will intensify throughout the next year or two."

The military intelligence chief said Obama was also courting the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad. Yadlin said both Damascus and Teheran have not significantly reduced their support for insurgency groups throughout the region.

"President Bashar Assad hopes to turn over a new leaf with U.S. President Barack Obama," Yadlin said. "However, while Western powers are being hosted at the palace in Damascus, Syria is continuing to be used as the back yard of the axis of evil. Assad is letting Hizbullah and Iranian forces freely conduct their affairs in Syria and use its territory for Hizbullah deployment."

Yadlin said Obama's policies have generated dismay among Arab allies of the United States. He said Arab countries such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia were concerned that U.S. reconciliation efforts would merely encourage Teheran and its proxies to intensify destabilization efforts. In April 2009, Egypt reported a Hizbullah network that operated in Cairo and the Sinai Peninsula.

"The Arab world is starting to understand that Iranian proxies are a threat to the region," Yadlin said. "The Hizbullah activity in Egypt is not an isolated incident. Iran has infrastructures across the world seeking to perpetrate terror attacks against Israel."

At the same time, the Obama administration was expected to restrict U.S. arms exports to Israel in an effort to deny systems that could be used in any attack against Iran or Syria. (World Tribune)

Obsequious Obama

A Foreign Policy of Obsequiousness [Anne Bayefsky]

Yesterday in Geneva, President Obama unveiled the new look of America’s foreign policy — obsequiousness. It was Day One for his emissaries to the U.N. planning committee of the Durban II conference. This is the racist “anti-racism” bash to be held in Geneva in April. The U.S. and Israel walked out of the first go-round in Durban, South Africa in September 2001. Ever since, the U.S. government has refused to lend any credibility to the Declaration adopted after they left. That is, until yesterday.

U.S. representatives were addressing a human-rights negotiating committee with an executive consisting of a Libyan chair, an Iranian vice-chair, and a Cuban rapporteur. Russian Yuri Boychenko was presiding over Monday’s “human rights” get-together. Before them was a draft document which participants plan to adopt in finished form at the conference itself. The draft now contains mountains of offensive references to limits on free speech, anti-Israel and anti-Jewish provisions, and incendiary allegations of the victimization of Muslims at the hands of counter-terrorism racists.

Here is how the American delegates responded to a proposal they understood was incompatible with U.S. interests (“Brackets” denote withholding approval at any given moment in time.): “I hate to be the cause of unhappiness in the room . . . I have to suggest this phrase remains in brackets and I offer my sincere apologies.”

Having watched U.N. meetings for the past 25 years, I can’t remember a U.S. representative in a public session so openly obsequious, particularly in the presence of such specious human rights authorities. And yet the U.S. delegates appear happy to be there and convey the marching orders of their new commander-in-chief.

Unfortunately, while Obama’s calling the tunes, items like freedom of expression are being rearranged. On the table was a provision which “Calls on States to ensure that lawmakers discharge their responsibilities in conformity with . . . article 4 of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination . . . ” What did the American delegation have to say about that? Among other things they proposed: “add after article 4, ‘and 5(d)(viii) of the Racial Discrimination Convention.’”

Flashback to 1994. The United States Senate imposed a reservation on U.S. ratification of the Racial Discrimination Convention concerning article 4 because it restricts free speech. Article 4 aims to limit incitement to racial hatred, but is open to an interpretation in direct conflict with the First Amendment.

Obama’s delegation, however, did not object to the proposal to ensure lawmakers adhere to article 4. Instead, they suggested adding a reference to another part of the Racial Discrimination Convention that guarantees an equal right to freedom of expression regardless of race. This idea does not in any way meet the Senate’s command to ensure that the Constitution trumps the treaty in matters of free speech.

There is no escape from Durban II — at least with our vital principles intact.

On Monday, President Obama’s decision to wander into the Durban II sinkhole also raised concerns in the Jewish community. In deciding to attend the planning session, Obama had ignored the direct plea from Israel’s Foreign Minister to stay away, along with Israel and Canada. Instead, on Monday the President sent reassuring messages via phone calls from senior White House and State Department officials.

According to reports, these officials claimed “that Washington's decision to participate in the conference was being coordinated with the Israeli government.” That would be true — if “coordination” meant announcing hours in advance that the United States intended to do the opposite of what had been requested.

Jewish leaders were also told that the U.S. presence was “an effort to change the direction of the conference.” Apparently, someone in the administration forgot to read the map. The conference objectives have already been unanimously agreed to by all participants, including the European Union. Objective number one is to “foster the implementation of the Durban Declaration” — the same one that claims Israelis are racists, in fact, the only racists U.N. member states could recall. Those directions aren’t going to be changed. On the contrary, the opening words of the Durban II document — also already accepted by consensus — read “reaffirming the Durban Declaration.” Change you can’t believe in, again.

Overall, on Day One, U.N. members were delighted by the new administration’s timidity. And they know exactly how to ensure those promises of change continue. In an entire day of a four-day meeting, they reviewed only 11 of the 140 paragraphs. The next set of meetings will be in April right before the conference itself. By the time somebody begins to suspect it might not change, it will all be over, in more ways than one.
